There are more than 21,000 value changes in Volume 3. Substantial changes can be found in Great Britain, with more than 3,400 changes, and German Democratic Republic and Ireland, with more than 2,300 each.
In Great Britain, values advance markedly for some classic errors. The imperforate ½-penny deep green Queen Victoria, Scott 78a, jumps to $4,000 unused, from $3,000 last year. Among recent issues, self-adhesive booklet stamps issued during 2010-11 rise substantially in value. The 2010 Land and Sea Mammals booklet pane of six jumps from $7.50 mint, never hinged in the 2012 Vol. 3 to $11 this year.
Topical collectors will note increased values for many sets depicting popular themes, such as various flowers and animals. Modern topicals related to China, including various Lunar New Year stamps, also are advancing in value.
